In short

WordPress maintenance in Spain costs, as a guide, about €15–120 a month for most business websites, and up to around €300 a month with an online shop, lots of changes or priority support. The price depends on your website: whether hosting is included, how many changes you need and whether it runs WooCommerce.

What good maintenance should include

Ask for it in writing:

  • Updating WordPress, theme and plugins, checking nothing breaks.
  • Automatic backups stored off the server.
  • Security and uptime monitoring.
  • SSL certificate renewal.
  • Speed checks.
  • A set number of changes or minutes per month.
  • A response time if the site goes down.

What happens if you don't maintain WordPress

Many WordPress and plugin updates fix security flaws. A site left unpatched for months is easier to attack, can become slow, or break when the server's PHP version changes. Recovering a hacked site usually costs more than years of maintenance.

Do it yourself or hire someone?

If your site is simple and you have time, you can update it yourself: always back up first and check the site afterwards. If your site brings in customers or sells, it pays to have someone responsible who responds when something breaks.

Questions before you hire

To compare quotes:

  • Are hosting and email included or extra?
  • How many changes a month are included?
  • Is there a minimum contract?
  • Where are backups stored, and how often?
  • What happens if the site goes down on a Sunday?

Ranges are indicative: the final price depends on your website, your project and what you need. We give you a fixed quote after a free call.
